Our boys enjoy helping us pick blackberries, but our yield is much less when they help. Not because they don't pick enough. No, they pick lots of them . . . but they eat everything they pick!
Last fall, we doubled our blackberry patch, so this summer we will either be washing a lot more blackberry stains off their clothes, or we will have more blackberries to use in our baked goods. Hopefully we will have a nice combination if both.
Blackberry pineapple bread continues to be one of our most popular breads, but it's time to shake things up. So this summer our customers can expect to see some new breads with fresh blackberries in them. We welcome suggestions!
